Our exhibition this year is placed within the city centre bringing art directly to the people of Lancaster.
This “pop-up exhibition” has taken over one of the disused shops within the St. Nicholas Arcade and we will be in residence for the next couple of weeks.
The Lancaster Photographic Society is a small but growing group of amateur photographers who share their enthusiasm for the subject in weekly meetings comprising of how-to talks, portfolios, practical demonstrations and competitions.
Our exhibition comprises more than 40 high quality colour and monochrome images, including landscapes, floral subjects, close-up work, portraits, architecture and natural history shots. These images will be in rotation over the life of the exhibition so be sure to return often to see the full range of images.
Society members are of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, and new members are always welcome. This showcase of the Society’s work gives a chance to anyone interested in photography to see what can be achieved with a camera, and to find out more about our activities.
Our weekly meetings will resume on the 3rd of October and our full programme of events will be available later in August.
If you are interested in purchasing a framed copy of any of the images on display or just want to know more about the Society then please get in touch.
