Our first guest speaker of the season is Andrew Brooks.

Andrew is a professional artist and photographer based in Manchester who specialises in creating fantastic panoramic images made up of hundreds of photographs. These images show us impossible worlds and cityscapes in breathtaking detail.

Andrew’s art also addresses more down-to-earth subjects such as the BBC sponsored Hidden City Series exploring the unseen sides of the modern urban life. He has also recently worked with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra creating images for their next concert season.

His talk, entitled “The Constructed Image”, will be both an insight into his work and a description of the tools and techniques he uses to create his art. He’s asked that if we have any specific requests for work to include in his talk to get in touch via email or twitter and facebook

You can view a selection of his work on his online gallery.

You can also follow him on twitter and Facebook
