Our second guest speaker of the season is Andy Latham.

Andy is a Landscape photographer, author and educator who specialises in the beautiful landscapes of Northern England. In 2009 Andy released his first book; Landscapes of the Ribble taking the reader on a photographic journey following the Ribble from the Yorkshire Dales to the Ribble Valley and then out to sea at Lytham St. Annes.

Andy’s talk ‘Developing Landscape Photography’ is a detailed guide on how to improve one’s landscape photography. He’ll talk about how to look at light, composition, how to develop a connection to the land and how to use personal projects to develop your skill. This talk uses a broad range of locations but focuses on the North West to enable us to apply these skills to the landscapes on our doorsteps.

You can view a selection of his work on his online gallery.

Andy’s work has been featured in Lancashire Life, Practical Photography, Country Walking and Outdoor Photography magazines.
