For many years Syd Cumbus has provided a brief review of the week’s meeting to the Lancaster Guardian for their social scene column. We’re happy to be able to also present these round ups on the website.
The latest meeting of the Society was opened by President, Sally Anderson who introduced Hannah Webster to present her lecture entitled ‘From Hobby to Business’
Hannah, from Meltham near Holmfirth has established a national business in wedding photography by using her unique approach and many alternative venues for shooting locations such as an industrial scene as well as more traditional landscapes.
To gain early experience Hannah often acted as second photographer to another professional to increase her photographic knowledge and expertise. This enabled her to produce a portfolio to show to prospective clients. Hannah emphasised she gained inspiration from working with other well established wedding photographers.
For her now well established business she offers couples and their guests a fun day and will often take up to 1200 images with her Canon 5D Mk3 camera some of which can be manipulated using Lightroom and Photoshop software.
After questions the vote of thanks was proposed by Sally Anderson.
You can view Hannah’s portfolio and catch up with her blog over on the LifeLine Photography website
