This week’s guest speaker is professional landscape photographer Peter Leeming.
Peter lives in the Esk Valley in the heart of the North York Moors National Park and his passion for landscapes and travel have taken him around the world in search of adventure. He has climbed, skied and photographed in some of the more remote mountain ranges, and the result is a collection of rare and elusive mountain images of the Alps, the Peruvian Andes and the Pakistan Karakoram.
Peter will give two lectures to the Society this week. The first “Mountain Landscapes” is the story behind his acents in the European Alps, the Peruvian Andes and the Karakoram of Pakistan. The second lecture “Searching for Depth” is a more instructive examination of his photography, his methods and his artistic passions.
You can see a preview of some of the images featured in the following video
Peter’s work is exhibited work at The Gallery Within in the Joe Cornish galleries. You can also see a sample of his work and passions on his website.
Everyone is welcome and your first two meetings as a guest to the Society are completely free of charge. Membership is £30 for the entire year or guests can continue to visit for just £3 per evening.
