The last meeting of the Society was to compete in the South Lakes Inter-Club Battle for 2013. The event, held at Carnforth High School, was hosted by Lunesdale Camera Club with competing clubs from Barrow, Holme, Kendal, Lancaster and Ulverston. A selection of eight prints and eight digital projected images represented each club or society.
- The first quarter-final was between Lunesdale and Ulverston and won by Lunesdale.
- The second quarter-final between Kendal and Lancaster was won by Lancaster by one point.
In the semi-finals Holme defeated Barrow, and Lancaster foiled Lunesdale, again by one point, after two ties, the winner being declared as the club with the highest score in the round for an individual photograph. Lancaster had a projected image which scored a maximum 27 points, just one more than Lunesdale’s best image.
The final between Holme and Lancaster proved to be a convincing win for Holme with scores as follows:
- Digital projected images: Holme 238 points, Lancaster 228 points
- Prints: Holme 216 points, Lancaster 198 points.
Holme won the competition by 454 points to 426, and were presented with the South Lakes Shield by the Chairman of Lunesdale Camera Club.
