This evening is dedicated to one of the most popular photographic subjects there is, travel!
Travel Photography dates from the very early days of photography. It has remained a popular way of both recording your own experience of the world as well as documenting the cultures, places and people of far off lands.
This evening is split into two parts; one a travelogue and the other chance to share our own travel pictures with the group.
First Half: Life in the Shadow of the Karakoram Mountains
Allan Hartley starts with Life in the Shadow of the Karakoram Mountains. Allan is an extensive traveler and has for many years shared his adventures with us in the Society.
He’ll take us on a photographic journey to Pakistan and show us some of the equipment he uses when traveling.
Second Half: Your Images!
The second half of the evening is dedicated to sharing your travel images with each other!
Please bring up to three images from your travels and tell us about them. Sharing and taking about your images is a great way to get feedback on your pictures and to learn from others.
Everyone is welcome and your first two meetings as a guest to the Society are completely free of charge. Membership is at the reduced rate of £20 for the rest of the season or guests can continue to visit for just £3 per evening.
