On Monday evening we were entertained by the external, judge Mike Lawrence. Mike shared his thoughts on the images captured by members of the Lancaster and Peterhead societies and entered for our annual, inter club competition. Mike’s analyses of the images brimmed with humour, and memorable advice that focussed on the opportunities for further development and improvement. Mike’s scoring generally favoured the images submitted by our members and Lancaster was declared the winner. It was, however, not all bad news for Peterhead, which entered the highest scoring image.
The evening concluded with intriguing insight into the philosophy and camera craft of photographer Albert Watson, as he sought to capture the brooding landscapes and changing personality of a wet and wind swept Isle of Skye.
