There were many familiar faces and an unprecedented number of new members at our first club night of the new season. Our bustling venue featured desk top photographic opportunities ranging from metal insect and bird sculptures, to soap bubbles, vintage cameras, fruit leaves and shells. There were also learning stations for new members, including printed image mounting, framing and sizing, SLR camera operation, and an introduction to the Society’s competition and image submission processes.
The relaxed, informal atmosphere, provided opportunities for existing members to lend their knowledge and expertise to new members, and new members to talk about their photographic interests, find out more about the society and get to know its members. A big thank you to Steve our ‘club night’ secretary.
