On Monday evening we succeeded in inserting some ‘fun’ into the Society’s season of competitions. Our second competition, ‘Open Print’, attracted a large response and entries were limited to one image in the colour and mono categories from each entrant. The 31 colour and 33 mono images, featured a number of high quality images and a diverse range of subjects. They were studied, discussed, admired and scored not by an external judge but rather by each member. Our competition secretary has gone off with a bundle of scoring sheets and the unenviable task of assembling a collective score for each image. The much awaited results will be announced at our next meeting.
This event proved to be a popular, particularly with new members, and will no doubt feature in future competition calendars.
